Meditation
The sound meditation arrived from the Latin meditation and the meaning of meditation is every type of physical or intellectual exercise. In meditation is a type of exercise where you concentrate on an object of thought or awareness.
- Meditation means thoughtful and is part of disciplines which include variety of spiritual or psychophysical practices which can increase your mental concentration or the apparent converse, mental quiescence.
- The term Meditation also defined as self regulation of attention means a self-inquiry.
- There are several techniques of meditation but it can be utilized according to their focus. A few focus on the subject or background awareness and experience which called as mindfulness.
- Focus also called as concentrative meditation where concentration on a preselected specific object. In focus there are also techniques that shift between the field and the object.
What is the meditation?
There are various types of meditation - prayer is probably the best known, but there is also TM (Transcendental Meditation), mindfulness meditation, and from the Eastern tradition, Zen meditation, Buddhist meditation, and Taoist meditation.

Meditation as in Hinduism

- There are different type of yoga such as vedanta, raja yoga, surat shabd yoga, japa yoga, bhakti yoga, hatha yoga.
Meditation as in Islam
- Meditation in Islam is the core of Muslim mystical traditions. In the islam tradition meditation means peacefulness, which is believed to have a quality of healing and creativity.
- There are two type of mediation called as tafakkur and sufi meditation.
- Tafakkur meditation which means concentration, concentration of abilities, convergent, collection, compaction, and consolidation
- Sufi meditation is similar to Buddhist meditation.
