Meditation can be do in a discipline manner where your mind is focused on a single point of reference and its create a higher state of awareness or realization. Meditation is a part of eastern religions, it has been practiced for more than 5,000 years. There are different types of Meditation. Some of them are as follows:
Concentrative Meditation
During concentratinve meditation, attention is focused on a single sound, an object or one's breath, to bring about a calm, tranquil mind.
Mindfulness Meditation
During mindfulness meditation, the mind becomes aware of but does not react to the wide variety of sensations, feelings, and images tied in with a current activity.
Transcendental Meditation
Transcendental Meditation technique produces a physiological state of restful alertness.=
Insight Meditation
Insight Meditation allows us to welcome all our thoughts and physical sensations. We accept our sensations and thoughts as they are. Not judging, accepting, letting things go, being patient help us to minimise the impact of our thoughts on our actions.
Meditation in Motion
Meditation in Motion consists of all forms of Meditating in which we are active. We strengthen our attention and our awareness by focussing on our motions. The most well-known forms of motion-Meditation are Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Chi Neng and walking Meditations.
Breathing is special in several respects: it is the only function you can perform consciously as well as unconsciously, and it can be a completely voluntary act or a completely involuntary act, as it is controlled by two sets of nerves, one belonging to the voluntary nervous system, the other to the involuntary (autonomic) system. Breath is the bridge between these two systems.
Goal-oriented Meditation - It can help us to start working on certain goals right away.
Heart Rhythm Meditation
Simple mantra meditation - Many people find it easier to keep their mind from wandering if they concentrate on something specific. A mantra can help.
Buddhist Meditation
